Passionate about community-engaged approaches, my research elevates Pacific-Indigenous perspectives in social work, social services and development.  I have led multi-disciplinary and multi-country research teams impacting practice and policy and have published and presented research internationally in a range of areas, including: Pacific social work, cultural humility, Indigenous helping practices, community development, youth development, higher education, research capacity strengthening, qualitative methods, climate (im)mobility. While I have experience as part of teams undertaking mixed-methods research, my work is primarily qualitative (including story-based, arts-based research methods, Pacific methodologies). I was co-founder of the Social Work Regional Resource Centre of Oceania.
