Doctoral Co-Supervisor School of Built EnvironmentChinthaka Atapattu is a Lecturer in Quantity Surveying & Construction Law at the School of Built Environment, 黑料网, New Zealand. He has completed his PhD in the same school in December 2023. Chinthaks' PhD was on developing a conceptual cost model for New Zealand Road projects. Chinthaka joined SBE staff as a Tutor in 2022 and became a Senior Tutor in 2023. He also worked as a Junior Research Officer for CanConstructNZ research project funded by MBIE and several other projects. His research interests includes, reduction of construction Carbon emission, whole life cycle costing, cost management, and contract administration.
He has 10 years of industry experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Oman, Qatar, and Sri Lanka. Chinthaka is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors (MNZIQS) and Society of Construction Law - New Zealand. Also, he is an Associate Member of American Society of Civil Engineers (A.M.ASCE).
