Associate Professor Eva Heinrich EdD, PhD, SFHEA

Associate Professor

Doctoral Supervisor
School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences

As an award-winning teacher I demonstrate sustained integrity in striving for the best for my students and discipline, questioning from an informed knowledge base, and stepping forward to affect positive change. I have made lasting contributions to student assessment with world-wide impact via on my research-based extensions to the Moodle assignment module. My leadership contributions in Information Technology teaching include the design of innovative first year courses that challenge student curiosity with a unique focus on guiding through complex real-world systems and embedding individual interests, making learning accessible and relevant. I am at the forefront of blending on- and off-campus delivery modes, supported by a wide ranges of educational technologies. My focus is both on designing course deliveries for successful student outcomes and on considering the impacts on teacher collaborations and workloads.

I am focused on open access publishing and researcher development. In a pioneering new role as strategic lead for the Open Access Publishing Association (OAPA) I am committed to strengthening open access publishing in Australasia. I am the founding Executive Editor of Advancing Scholarship and Research in Higher Education (ASRHE), a higher education journal published by the Higher Education Research and Development Society of Australasia (HERDSA), focused on the skills and well-being of emerging researchers. The journal challenges conventional peer review practices by operating a group-based review approach that facilitates the development of reviewer skills and enables the journal to focus on providing coherent and kind feedback to its authors. I am leading the editorial team in research on editorial practices, looking at professional development opportunities and academic well-being. As a member of the HERDSA Executive, my broader contributions include guiding the awards and grants portfolio and the development of HERDSA’s IT infrastructure

I am a lifelong learner, ready to learn and explore.  Whether working with colleagues and students at 黑料网 or engaged in my international commitments, I pride myself on being a positive, energetic, and reliable colleague with high levels of integrity and time for others.
