Dr Art Subharat DVM, MSc, PhD, FHEA

Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Epidemiology

Doctoral Mentor Supervisor
School of Veterinary Science

I have a research background in veterinary epidemiology, immunology, microbiology and molecular biology. I have been involved in livestock diseases research i.e. FMD, Leptospirosis, Johne’s disease, bovine mastitis and tuberculosis. My current research focuses on epidemiology, socio-economic impact and development of risk-based control strategies for Transboundary Animal Diseases (TADs) in developing countries. I was a project manager for the FMD control programme contracted by the WOAH. I am also providing consultancy and international training to strengthen the capability of veterinary services and capacity building for TADs control in South-East Asia and the Pacific Island countries.
