I have a background as a cardiothoracic intensive care nurse and later became a clinical psychologist training at Massey. My research is mixed methods, having published a number of systematic reviews, psychometric studies, qualitative and quantitative using interpretive descriptive, thematic analysis, machine learning, network analysis, Rasch, and classical test theory. I am developing an interest in ecopsychology and how nature can be used as an adjunct to traditional methods of psychology. My research topics have included schizophrenia, palliative care, cancer, assisted dying, health care practitioners wellbeing, older adults, neuropsychology, and outcome measure development,
